New Balance and CAYL Reunite on a 610 and Fresh Foam Trail v3 Collab
Outdoor technical wear and running innovation come together.
[Update 11 Oct 2023] The CAYL x New Balance collab will be releasing globally on 13 October via both the South Korean brand and New Balance.
On top of the CAYL x New Balance 610T and CAYL x New Balance Fresh Foam More Trail v3, the partners have also put together a collection of outdoor-inspired apparel featuring GORE-TEX and co-branding from both brands. Mark your calendars!
Trends come and go but the popularity of gorpcore fashion is showing no signs of waning. In yet another partnership centered on the great outdoors, New Balance is teaming up with South Korean gorpcore label CAYL on New Balance’s trail running models—the New Balance 610 and Fresh Foam More Trail v3.
New Balance and CAYL previously joined hands on a duo of hiking sandals and slide, both featuring the South Korean brand’s sturdy GRID FABRIC.
Through this latest team-up, the recently-revived NB 610 is now dressed in a mix of tightly-knitted mesh and the aforementioned CAYL GRID FABRIC. Murky green hairy suede overlays wrap atop the upper, the pull tabs at the 610’s tongue and heel have been kept intact, and a black sole unit rounds out the shoe.
The CAYL x New Balance Fresh Foam More Trail v3 receives a “Shadow Grey” color treatment. The signature chunky midsole of the Fresh Foam More is as prominent as ever, while the upper seems to feature a new, never-before-seen technical fabric.
Both the CAYL x New Balance Fresh Foam More v3 and 610 snuck in CAYL branding, via its mountain logo on the heels and lateral heel respectively.
The two silhouettes are slated to drop on 1 October in Europe with respective price tags of €180 (~US$190) and €150 (~US$160). Stay tuned for more release details in other regions!
