Saucony might not be one of the first footwear brands that come to mind for ardent sneakerheads, but they’re certainly making a strong case in 2023. After their high-profile collaboration with rapper Jae Tips, the brand has quietly but surely added new inline iterations to its popular silhouettes. Up next, the Grid Shadow 2 will receive a makeover. Or in this case, a throwback.

First spotted on Saucony’s Global Brand President Robert Griffiths during Paris Fashion Week, the Saucony Grid Shadow 2 has been officially revealed to return this month in its OG “White/Blue” makeup. A mesh base sits on the upper of the shoe, while a mix of suede, leather, and plastic shares real estate on the overlays. While white adorns most of the shoe, a bright shot of blue accentuates the sneaker.

It’s a return to form for the Saucony Grid Shadow 2, and one that will definitely fit in with the fashion world’s zeitgeist. Check out images of the pair via the top slider above, and sit tight for its release on 18 August.
