Imran Potato, the creator of the infamous Cavemen Slippers, is back! This time, he channeled his offbeat energy into Vault by Vans to produce two old-school silhouettes, the Vans KNU SKOOL VR3 LX and the Vans SK8-HI VR3 LX. Both silhouettes pay homage to rarely-seen ’90s skate shoes and will drop in three different colourways. The 6-piece collection will be dropping 21 May on Vault by Vans and select retailers.

Mr. Potato took the already chunky KNU SKOOL, exaggerated the exterior and overstuffed the tongue to make a striking, bulky silhouette. The Potato brand is scattered across the outsole, tongue and heel tabs. The KNU SKOOL VR3 LX silhouette is further exaggerated by a 3D Jazz side-stripe. This silhouette comes in “Black & True White”, as well as 2 leopard print colourways: “Asphalt, Black & True White” and “Golden Glow, Brown & Black”. The KNU SKOOL VR3 LX is drawing for US$199 on END.

Meanwhile, the SK8-HI VR3 LX as supposedly the next evolution of the widely-memed ‘Cavemen Slippers’, according to Imran Potato himself. They retain the SK8-HI’s original slim design and colours, but feature a pair of cartoonish, primitive-looking hands that extend from the upper to the tongue of each shoe. They come in Van’s well-known checkerboard, black and navy colourways. The SK8-HI VR3 LX is drawing for US$230 on END.

Along with the two sneaker silhouettes, Imran Potato will also be dropping a limited set of apparel to tie the collection together.
