Over the years, various collegiate sports teams have served as the inspiration for the iconic Nike Air Max 97. And the titular shoe is the most recent one to arise from this MO, paying homage to the Michigan Wolverines.

A combination of Varsity Maize, Midnight Navy, and White dresses the pair. Its construction features a White mesh base with contrasting Navy and Yellow details on the leather overlays.

Other notable features include the embroidered small Yellow Swooshes on the tongues and profiles; another is the “Air Max” branding that run along the rear at the pull tabs on the heel. The design is finished with a solid White rubber sole and Navy underfoot.

A release date hasn’t been disclosed but they’re projected to drop between the spring and the incoming summer months. Stay tuned!
