The promotional Psyduck card from Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 10 has been included in an admittedly seldom-used variant of the Dragapult ex deck; however, in the right hands it’s been shown to be highly effective as proven by Jōichirō Hirohama, who had this card in his Champions League Aichi-winning deck.

About Psyduck (SV-P Promotional Cards 262/SV-P)

This card is primarily used as a form of counterplay against the Dusknoir card from Night Wanderer [SV6a] by way of Damp, its Ability which is effectively a TCG version of the Ability of the same name from the Pokémon video games. Damp prevents both player’s Pokémon from using any Ability which causes the Pokémon using it to self-KO; this therefore blocks Dusknoir’s devastating Cursed Blast which sacrifices Dusknoir to inflict 130 damage on any opposing Pokémon.

Being a promotional card which was originally part of an event-exclusive pack, this card has inherent value due to its exclusivity. Like all other Pokémon Card Gym promos, this card has the Pokémon Card Gym logo on its right side as well; the presence of this logo further elevates the card’s value.

Release Details

The English version of this card will be card 007 from the MEP Black Star Promos and will be launched on 26 September 2025.

Buying a Psyduck (SV-P Promotional Cards 262/SV-P) card will cost 1,200 JPY (~US$8.13).
