Following the Gardevoir ex deck’s dominant performance at the 2025 Pokémon North America International Championships (NAIC) where the deck claimed first, second, and fourth-place finishes, the deck has now made history as the first-ever Pokémon TCG deck to amass over US$1 million in tournament prize money. The tournament’s results took the deck’s total prize money won to US$1,015,000.

Ever since the introduction of the deck’s centerpiece card in Scarlet ex [SV1S] in January 2023, the Gardevoir ex deck has experienced consistent tournament success. Its highlights include victories at Champions League Niigata in April 2023 and the recent NAIC victory as well as second place at the 2023 Pokémon TCG World Championships.

The deck has shown remarkable resilience even after losing several key pieces over the past two rotations as it’s one which players have been able to easily pivot towards incorporating newer cards.

Much of the Gardevoir ex deck’s tournament success also has to do with the fact that it has advantageous matchups against several metagame staples. In the current metagame, this deck’s matchup advantages include the Joltik Box, Raging Bolt ex, and Flareon ex/Noctowl decks as well as most variants of the Dragapult ex deck.
