Typically, the only Gholdengo card in the Gholdengo ex deck is the titular card from Raging Surf [SV3a]. However, a recent variant of the deck makes use of an additional Gholdengo card to be used alongside its Pokémon-ex counterpart: the Gholdengo card from Paradise Dragona [SV7a].

About Gholdengo (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 038/064)

Gholdengo functions as a powerful single-Prize attacker; on the turn that it evolves from Gimmighoul, it’s capable of dishing out up to 120 damage for just one Steel Energy card via its Strike It Rich attack. If it gets into a tight spot, it can also pivot out with Surf Back—an attack which not only returns Gholdengo to the player’s deck but also strikes for 100 damage on the way out.

This card also provides the deck with favorable matchups against the Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex deck as well as in mirror matchups. However, from the collector’s standpoint, there’s isn’t too much to get excited over—as it’s only an Uncommon (U) card, its value remains relatively low.

The English version of this card is card 131/191 in Surging Sparks [SSP].

The price of a Gholdengo (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 038/064) card is very low at just 170 JPY (~US$1.18) per copy.
