The Green/Yellow Yamato Starter Deck [ST-28], one of the six Starter Decks just released, is primarily themed around the Wano Country Saga of the One Piece manga. The most notable pickup from the Starter Deck is the Super Rare (SR) Yamato Character card.

In addition to the narrative and thematic relevance of the card in question, part of its appeal has to do with the fact that a side story in the One Piece manga of which Yamato is the protagonist is currently ongoing. Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage has been the manga’s current side story since March 2024; as such, those who follow the manga closely might be drawn towards this card.

On top of this card’s rarity of SR, a further point which will serve to attract more people to the card is Yamato’s status as One Piece’s main LGBTQ+ icon. Release Details

The Japanese version of this card will be launched on 28 June 2025 when the Green/Yellow Yamato Starter Deck [ST-28] launches in Japanese.
