[Pokémon TCG] Girafarig (Clay Burst [SV2D] 059/071) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]

Perhaps going forward, this card will generally replace the Crimson Haze [SV5a] Girafarig card in the Milotic ex/Farigiraf ex deck.

Pokémon TCG Girafarig

Ordinarily, the Milotic ex/Farigiraf ex deck includes the Girafarig card from Crimson Haze [SV5a] as the Basic Pokémon which will evolve into the Farigiraf ex card from Cyber Judge [SV5M]. However, at the recent Champions League Miyagi, Ryunosuke Murata didn’t include that card in the deck which he took to a fifth-place finish. Instead, he used the Girafarig card from Clay Burst [SV2D].

About Girafarig (Clay Burst [SV2D] 059/071)

The main advantage that this card has over its counterpart from Crimson Haze [SV5a] is its Psy Bolt attack. Psy Bolt dishes out 30 damage for two Energy cards and also paralyzes the opponent’s Active Pokémon with a favorable coin flip. As such, this card can be used for early-game stalling or forcing the opponent to commit resources sooner than would usually be desired.

This card is almost completely sought after by players as it doesn’t have much collectability value. Coming in at a rarity of Common (C), it’s a card most collectors wouldn’t give a second thought towards; the card’s inclusion in the aforementioned new deck variant will further raise its profile among players.

Release Details

In English, this card is card 154/193 in Paldea Evolved [PAL].

A copy of a Girafarig (Clay Burst [SV2D] 059/071) card is extremely inexpensive owing to its very low rarity; it sells for just 60 JPY (~US$0.41).
