[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Retaliating “C” (Structure Deck: Forest of the Traptrix – The Legend of Duelist Quarter Century Edition TDS2-JP011)
Of course it sets up Maxx "C". OF COURSE IT DOES.

Many of the cards from Structure Deck: Forest of the Traptrix – The Legend of Duelist Quarter Century Edition, as might be guessed from its name, were all related to the Forest of the Traptrix storyline. One which was not was Retaliating “C”—however, that card has nevertheless gone on to find a place in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG metagame.
About Retaliating “C” (Structure Deck: Forest of the Traptrix – The Legend of Duelist Quarter Century Edition TDS2-JP011)
Retalitaing “C” banishes any card which would have otherwise been sent to the Graveyard if it was Special Summoned after the opponent activated a Spell Card with an effect that Special Summoned a monster card. Since its effect can be triggered by an opposing card, it can be used in certain spots to turn the tables on an opponent who isn’t expecting it. Players in Japan and Asia-Pacific can also use this card to add the iconic and meta-defining Maxx “C” to the hand.
The version of this card which collectors are most likely to seek is the one from Structure Deck: Forest of the Traptrix – The Legend of Duelist Quarter Century Edition as it’s the only one which comes in Ultra Rare. The fact that it’s indirectly linked to Maxx “C”—one of the most well-known (and frustrating in the eyes of so many players) cards in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh TCG further elevates the profile of Retaliating “C”.
