The recent emergence of the Purple/Black Luffy deck in the ONE PIECE Card Game metagame has spawned new variants of the deck as well. One such variant makes use of the Kaido card first printed in the Animal Kingdom Pirates [ST-04] Starter Deck—a card which was previously mainly used in the Purple Kaido and Purple Luffy decks.

About Kaido (Animal Kingdom Pirates [ST-04] ST04-003)

This card is mainly used as a late-game attacking option. It’s mainly included for use against opposing low-cost Character cards because when Kaido is played, the player can immediately KO the opposing Active Character card if its cost is 6 or lower. With a total Power of 10,000, this Kaido card poses a formidable offensive threat bolstered by its Rush effect in addition to its effect on play.

Suitably for a card which is metagame-relevant, the most desired version of this Super Rare (SR) card depicting the ex-member of the Four Emperors is the one from the Championship 2024 Celebration Pack. An English-exclusive card, this card came as part of a special pack distributed to players who won at least one game of any tournament in North America, Latin America, Oceania, or Europe serving as a qualifier for the ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 2024 World Final in March 2025.

Release Details

Although this card is out in Japanese, the Championship 2024 Celebration Pack version of this card is English-exclusive.

A copy of a Kaido (Animal Kingdom Pirates [ST-04] ST04-003) card of SR rarity in its Championship 2024 Celebration Pack version sells for 1,300 JPY (~US$8.80).
