Hero’s Cape is a simple yet often highly effective ACE SPEC Item card. Its effect grants the Pokémon to which it’s attached an additional 100 HP—a boost which can often make all the differences between the player picking up a KO and suffering one. This card is most commonly played in the Snorlax and Gardevoir ex decks; however, in recent times it’s become a viable option in a new Dragapult ex deck variant featuring the Charizard ex card from Ruler of the Black Flame [SV3]. In the new Pokémon TCG metagame which has become more defensively-oriented, the popularity of this card in tournament decks might see an upcoming increase.

Being an ACE SPEC card, this card ranks among its set’s rarest. The card’s illustration shows the card’s HP-boosting effect emerging from the cape itself by way of the energy waves coming from it. The lime green holofoil background behind Hero’s Cape, meanwhile, adds visual contrast when placed against the hot pink of the ACE SPEC background.
