Although the set which was centered around the Dressrosa Saga was Royal Blood [OP-10], not the newly-released A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11], that doesn’t mean that the more recent release is devoid of cards referencing the Dressrosa Saga. A clear example of this can be seen in the presence of the Gum-Gum Fire-Fist Pistol Red Hawk card.

About Gum-Gum Fire-Fist Pistol Red Hawk (A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] OP11-114)

The card’s illustration shows Monkey D. Luffy in his Gear 2 form as he unleashes his Gum-Gum Fire-Fist Pistol Red Hawk attack on Donquixote Doflamingo. To add further gravitas to the imagery, the illustration has been largely decolorized with very little color apart from red, black, and white being included. This lack of color thus draws attention to the impact of Luffy’s attack itself; this is because the attack is intended to be the focus of the card.

Although the card isn’t a Manga Rare, the image on the card is largely taken from the One Piece manga and has been colored in such a way so as to convey the aforementioned visual and narrative impact. In addition, there’s another layer of narrative impact conveyed through this card: the name “Gum-Gum Fire-Fist Pistol Red Hawk” is a tribute to Luffy’s slain brother Portgas D. Ace whose signature technique was Fire Fist.

Release Details

This card’s English release will come in June 2025 alongside the rest of A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11].
