A landmark partnership has been forged between adidas and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team, marking the first official collaboration between these two titans of their respective domains. This announcement, therefore, represents a groundbreaking collaboration that will redefine what team and fanwear means in our sport.”
The announcement was accompanied by the unveiling of a comprehensive footwear collection, each piece bearing dual branding and resplendent in the Formula 1 team’s livery. Among the featured silhouettes are the Ultraboost 5X, Supernova Rise, VL Court, and Lightblaze.
About the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team x adidas Collection
The adidas Ultraboost 5X leads the charge, its black mesh upper adorned with the Mercedes and AMG emblems on the tongue. The Formula 1 team’s signature Semi Mint Rush hue provides a counterpoint, accenting the Three Stripes along the midfoot and the fore of the LIGHT BOOST midsole, which gracefully transitions to grey tones at the heel. EQT branding on the heel and a robust rubber outsole complete this dynamic design.
The adidas Supernova Rise echoes this aesthetic, its black mesh upper similarly punctuated by Semi Mint Rush Three Stripes and dual branding on the tongue. However, the lower portion of the upper and the stripes are embellished with 3M reflective detailing, adding a layer of visual intrigue. The multi-layered DREAMSTRIKE midsole rests upon a rubber outsole, ensuring enhanced grip and performance.
The adidas Lightblaze presents a study in contrasts, its clean white mesh upper complemented by creamy nubuck overlays at the toe, midfoot, and heel. adidas EQT branding graces the tongue, while black textured Three Stripes adorn the side. A subtle Frost Green hue lines the collar, and the chunky LIGHTSTRIKE midsole, paired with a color-matched rubber outsole, provides a grounded finish.
Two iterations of the ever-popular adidas AdiLette Comfort are also featured: one bathed in Semi Mint Rush, the other in stark black. Both feature debossed adidas branding on the polyurethane footbeds, while the comfort straps bear the Formula 1 team’s full name and logo.
A playful reimagining of the classic Gazelle Indoor, the adidas Barreda Decode is presented in two colorways, sharing a consistent material palette. A nylon base is overlaid with suede at the toe, lace stay, and heel, complemented by a cushioned midsole and rubber outsole. One iteration is predominantly black, the other white, with Semi Mint Rush accents appearing on the heel tab (bearing Mercedes-AMG branding), the tongue tag (displaying the linear adidas logo), and the Three Stripes at the midfoot.
The adidas VL Court arrives in two distinct versions: one sporting a white leather upper, nubuck toebox, and grey heel panel, accented by Semi Mint Rush Three Stripes and a white rubber outsole; the other rendered in a triple black palette, both bearing the full Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team insignia on the sidewall.
Concluding the footwear collection is the adidas Ultimashow 2.0, constructed from black mesh and featuring a molded TPU cage in Semi Mint Rush at the midfoot for enhanced support. Mercedes-AMG branding is displayed on the tongue label, with dual branding appearing on the insoles of all models. The CLOUDFOAM midsole is rendered in black, with a final flourish of Semi Mint Rush on the rubber outsole.
