Following a successful revival in 2022, the New Balance 1906R has seen considerable market demand, resulting in numerous derivative models. New Balance is set to expand this line with the introduction of the 1906W draped in FantomFit, slated for a Spring 2025 release in the United States. The pack is available in select retailers in other countries.

About the New Balance 1906W FantomFit Pack

The 1906W represents a refined evolution of the late-2000s runner, incorporating FantomFit construction for reduced weight and enhanced ergonomic comfort. Notably, the 1906W distinguishes itself through the external application of FantomFit technology.

Unlike previous iterations where this technology was integrated within the shoe’s structure, it now forms a visible diamond-patterned overlay on the lateral and medial sides. This design choice imparts a modern, performance-driven aesthetic, drawing comparisons to the New Balance 950v2, originally developed in 2018 for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The 1906W will debut in a quartet of monochromatic colorways—Navy, Black, White, and Grey—emphasizing the model’s innovative construction through a minimalist palette.

Release Details

While a firm release date Stateside is pending, the New Balance 1906W FantomFit is projected to launch in Spring 2025 in the country. It is available in other countries. Stay tuned for further details soon.
