Jump Festa 2025, the latest iteration of the massive shōnen animanga convention run by publishing company Shueisha, saw the sale of the event-exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh TCG product Premium Pack 2025. As one might expect with a product sold at a Shueisha event, many of its cards were related to Yu-Gi-Oh manga series published in Shueisha magazine V Jump—including D/D Scale Surveyor.

About D/D Scale Surveyor (Premium Pack 2025 25PP-JP015)

The card’s illustration is taken from Chapter 16 of the Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V manga. That chapter has a panel which shows D/D Scale Surveyor materializing before activating its Pendulum Effect. This chapter was part of the duel between series protagonist Yuya Sakaki and Reiji Akaba.

The background of the card’s illustration has a cosmic, almost otherworldly feel to it that adds a layer of mystique to the card. Demand for this card might increase in the future if ever two other D/D Surveyor cards which are so far manga-exclusives—D/D Destiny Surveyor and D/D Zero Surveyor—are ever released in real life. Also part of Reiji’s D/D deck, these were the only two of the manga’s five D/D Surveyor cards not included in Premium Pack 2025; as such, completionists might flock to this card to complete the set of five should those two cards ever get real-life versions.
