[Pokémon TCG] Brute Bonnet Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 099/187) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Actually need your Pokémon to be poisoned? Well, here's just the card for that.
Every card in Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] which depicted a Pokémon came with a Master Ball Mirror variant. Master Ball Mirror cards are significantly rarer and often far more valuable than their ordinary counterparts; as such, some of these cards rank among the set’s standouts. Although the Brute Bonnet Master Ball Mirror card doesn’t quite rise to the same level as some of the other Master Ball Mirror cards from the set, it’s nonetheless a solid pull in its own right.
About Brute Bonnet Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 099/187)
This card is a Master Ball Mirror reprint of a card which was first released as part of Ancient Roar [SV4K]. Like all Master Ball Mirror cards, this card features a “cracked ice” holofoil design as well as a Master Ball print on its lower portion. The card’s illustration emphasizes the ferocity of the Ancient Paradox Pokémon; it depicts Brute Bonnet launching its Rampaging Hammer attack at an off-screen target.
This card is also a core part of the Klawf/Terapagos ex deck. Brute Bonnet’s Ability of Toxic Powder poisons both the player’s and the opponent’s Active Pokémon. Although ordinarily having a Pokémon poisoned isn’t ideal, this isn’t the case in this deck because the Klawf card from Raging Surf [SV3a] maximizes its damage output after it has been poisoned. Additionally, this same Ability pairs well with that of Radiant Hisuian Sneasler from Dark Phantasma [S10a]; that card has the Ability of Poison Peak which adds 20 damage to an opponent’s poisoned Active Pokémon during the Pokémon Checkup phase.
