While Unheardof has partnered with a diverse array of brands over the years, adidas has emerged as a particularly pivotal collaborator within the past biennium, facilitating the poignant telling of stories such as the tribute to Philip’s late sister Erika, the homage to his grandmother in the “Grandma’s Couch” pack, and the celebration of Cincinnati itself with the “Building Bridges” Rivalry Low.

Now, departing from the low-top, ‘80s basketball silhouettes that characterized these prior projects, Unheardof is set to embark on a new creative trajectory, venturing into the realm of the mesh runner in early 2025.

About the Unheardof x adidas Adistar Cushion 3 “Captain Piggy”

Previewed on The Sneaky Leak Podcast, Philip offers an exclusive on-foot look of the Unheardof x adidas Adistar Cushion 3, one of The Three Stripes’ contributions to the tech-infused mesh runner trend. Continuing the porcine motif introduced in the “Building Bridges” release, this forthcoming iteration translates the pink hue of the pigskin onto the shoe’s mesh, suede, and leather upper.

A nuanced spectrum of this color is deployed across the upper: a delicate blush graces the mesh base, while richer, more saturated shades of pink adorn the suede overlays and Three Stripes. Finally, a deep, almost crimson pink accentuates the Trefoil on the left heel and select panels across the upper.

The Unheardof x adidas Adistar Cushion 3, aptly dubbed “Captain Piggy”, not only inherits the color palette from the aforementioned “Building Bridges” collaboration but also directly incorporates the character himself.

His watchful eyes are subtly placed on the right shoe’s heel, while his jovial countenance is meticulously embroidered onto the tongue of the left. Further cementing his presence, Captain Piggy’s likeness is also integrated into the translucent outsole, creating a playful and unexpected detail. A tonal pink foam midsole completes the design, providing a cohesive and visually appealing foundation.

Release Details
