By creating art for a Pokémon card, chef Natsuko Shoji made history as the first chef to ever contribute to this iconic franchise. This remarkable card is priced at 5,555 JPY (~US$37), making it a must-have for collectors!

Most of the Pokémon-ex cards in Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] feature either Eevee or one of its eight evolutions—the ‘mons around which this newest Pokémon TCG set is centered. As such, these cards have ended up ranking among the set’s biggest pulls—one of which is none other than the Pokémon-ex version of Eevee itself.

About Eevee ex (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 223/187)

Like all of the Pokémon-ex versions of its eight evolutions, this card depicts Eevee ex as having Terastallized into the Stellar type. The card’s crystalline aesthetic fits that of the Terastallization mechanic, as does the background which resembles that of a stained-glass painting. Of course, with Eevee’s status as a major fan favorite as well as this card’s rarity of Special Art Rare (SAR), this card inherently carries much value.

The card’s gameplay qualities allude to Eevee’s status as the Pokémon best known for evolving into multiple different Pokémon. Its Ability of Rainbow DNA allows the player to evolve it into any other Eeveelution Pokémon-ex card as long as it isn’t the first turn of the game or the turn on which Eevee ex was played. Additionally, the Energy card requirement of its Coruscating Quartz attack is Fire/Water/Electric—a direct reference to the three OG Eeveelutions: Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon.
