Jordan Brand Signs NBA All-Star Trae Young
This move marks the official end of Young's signature line with adidas.
NBA All-Star Trae Young has found a new home for his feet. Jordan Brand announced over the weekend that they have signed the Hawks guard. Despite his recent endorsement hiatus, Young has often been spotted wearing Nike and Jordan gear on the court, including the Air Jordan 39.
This move marks the official end of Young’s signature line with adidas, a partnership that faced challenges with the cancellation of the fourth iteration earlier this year. As adidas shifted its focus towards other stars like Anthony Edwards and James Harden, Young found himself on the sidelines of their sneaker strategy.
While it’s unclear if a signature line for “Ice Trae” is in the works with Jordan Brand, the partnership adds another star to their already impressive basketball roster, joining the likes of Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, and Zion Williamson. Young, a proud Oklahoma Sooner, has expressed enthusiasm about wearing the Jumpman logo, a brand that sponsored his alma mater after he left for the NBA.
