After the collaborative edition with MM6 Maison Margiela, Japanese watchmaker CASIO is preparing to unveil a new CRW-001-1JR ring watch, this time celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary.

About the CASIO 50th Anniversary Ring Watch

CASIO’s signature watch design is expertly crafted into a full-metal ring, seamlessly combining style and durability. With advanced glass-bonding technology, the ring maintains an airtight seal, ensuring practical water resistance for everyday wear, while still allowing for easy battery replacements.

Sized at 22 (JP), the ring includes spacers for adjusting to sizes 19 (inner diameter 19mm) and 16 (inner diameter 18mm). Despite being downsized to about 1/10 of a typical wristwatch module, it retains a three-button digital display and a 7-segment LCD screen that shows the time, date, dual time, and stopwatch functions.

A unique flashing light feature subtly illuminates at the set time, adding an emotional touch and creating a sense of anticipation. The special edition also includes a luxurious original drawstring pouch, making it a perfect collector’s item.

Release Details

Although specific release dates have yet to be confirmed, the CASIO 50th Anniversary CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch is set to launch in December 2024 via the CASIO website, priced at 19,800 JPY (~US$128). Don’t miss out!
