Pseudo-Legendaries frequently rank among most Pokémon fans’ favorite Pokémon; Hydreigon is no exception. Thus, when the Special Art Rare (SAR) Hydreigon ex card from Supercharged Breaker [SV8] that depicted the usually Dark/Dragon-type in its Terastallized Stellar-type form launched, it almost immediately attracted immense demand across the Pokémon TCG community in general.

About Hydreigon ex (Supercharged Breaker [SV8] 133/106)

The card’s striking Full Art illustration captures the sheer power of Hydreigon ex. Two of the Pokémon’s three heads are clearly visible as are the Tera Jewels surrounding its head, indicating that it has Terastallized into the Stellar type. In addition, the card’s holofoil emphasizes the gleam of the Tera Jewels; the sparkles in the card illustration’s bottom-left corner are implied to come from the glow of those same Tera Jewels.

In addition, this card depicts a pseudo-Legendary Pokémon shortly after the recent “teraleak” in which much Game Freak data was leaked. Some of this data involved pseudo-Legendary Pokémon and their place in the lore of the Pokémon universe. Due to this as well as the general increase in attention to all things Pokémon-related that the teraleak caused, there’s now a greater spotlight than usual on this card.

Release Details

Although another version of this card will be launched in English, the SAR version doesn’t yet have an English release confirmed.

The price of a Hydreigon ex (Supercharged Breaker [SV8] 133/106) card is 11,000 JPY (~US$73).
