Best JJJJound Sneaker Collaborations To Own
From New Balance to ASICS, adidas, and more.
For the au corant, JJJJound is an aesthetic that has its place firmly in the world of sneakers. JJJJound sneaker collaborations aren’t few, nor far between; from New Balance to ASICS, A BATHING APE and more, the brand has developed a loyal cult following that appreciates its distinctive minimal, neutral, understated aesthetic.
What is JJJJound?
Originally conceived as a simple online space to showcase timeless design aesthetics, JJJJound has evolved into a prominent force in the fashion industry. Founded by Justin R. Saunders, the digital moodboard quickly gained traction for its curated selection of imagery, setting it apart from contemporary blogs.
Saunders’ online presence connected him with industry luminaries like Virgil Abloh, Matthew M. Williams, and Heron Preston. These relationships played a pivotal role in elevating JJJJound to new heights, while preserving its signature understated and refined aesthetic.
Where was JJJJound founded?
JJJJound is a design studio headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
Founded in 2006, JJJJound emerged as a unique voice in the burgeoning world of lifestyle blogs. Unlike its contemporaries, it eschewed text-heavy content in favor of a purely visual approach, a concept that platforms like Instagram would later popularize.
In 2008, JJJJound took a significant step forward, transitioning from a digital moodboard to a full-fledged fashion label. The brand’s early apparel and merchandise offerings showcased its distinctive aesthetic and laid the groundwork for its future success.
The World of JJJJound Collaborations
JJJJound’s recent success can be attributed in large part to its ability to forge strategic partnerships. In the realm of footwear, the brand has collaborated with a diverse range of iconic brands, from Vans and New Balance to ASICS. Notably, the 2020 New Balance 992 and the JJJJound x BAPE BAPESTA collaborations were highly sought-after releases.
On the apparel side, JJJJound has partnered with renowned brands like Eddie Bauer, Porter Yoshida, and A.P.C. While the brand typically maintains the core aesthetic of its collaborators, it consistently adds its signature contemporary touch to each project.

In celebration of the work JJJJound has done in the world of sneakers, here are six star-studded JJJJound collaborations available on the SNKRDUNK App now:
1. JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 “Olive”
JJJound’s second collaboration with New Balance’s iconic 990v3 sent shockwaves through the sneaker community when it first leaked in late 2021. The unexpected early release at a New Balance store in Barcelona ignited a frenzy among sneaker enthusiasts worldwide, eager to catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated design.
While the accidental leak initially caused a stir, it ultimately proved to be a blessing in disguise. By the time the shoe officially debuted in 2022, anticipation had reached fever pitch. The combination of olive green, black, white, and a subtle touch of cream created a visually appealing palette that perfectly complemented the classic 990v3 silhouette. Sneakerheads around the globe were captivated by this stylish and sophisticated collaboration.
2. JJJJound x adidas Samba Tobacco
JJJJound worked with adidas yet again to present a fresh interpretation of the iconic adidas Samba. Drawing inspiration from the classic Samba Tobacco, the collaboration features a refined shoe design alongside a complementary capsule of apparel and accessories. This collection celebrates the timeless appeal of football’s off-field style.
3. JJJJound x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 “White”
JJJJound’s inaugural collaboration with ASICS featured a dynamic duo of GEL-KAYANO 14 styles. The GK-14, a high-performance running shoe originally released in 2008, has evolved into a beloved modern lifestyle silhouette, thanks to partnerships with prominent designers like Kiko Kostadinov and Angelo Baque.
JJJJound’s latest interpretation of the GK-14 showcases a refined blend of white, silver, and black, with subtle cream accents on the midsole and discreet JJJJound branding on the heel and insole.
4. JJJJound x Reebok Club C “White Olive”
JJJJound’s collaboration with Reebok began with a minimalist interpretation of the Club C 85. Inspired by vintage computer keyboards, the JJJJound x Reebok Club C featured a clean color palette of white, grey, and eggshell. Premium details, such as tumbled leather, extra-soft terry cloth lining, an aged tongue, and subtle branding, elevated the classic silhouette.
The shoe was initially released at a Montreal pop-up event called “Centre de Command”, which drew inspiration from old-school office spaces and retail shops. Only 300 pairs were available at the pop-up, followed by a wider release of 1,500 pairs later in the year.
5. JJJJound x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX “Pine”
After a brief hiatus, JJJJound returned in February 2024 with a winter-ready collaboration featuring the 2002R. Drawing inspiration from Montreal’s harsh weather, Justin Saunders and his team equipped the model with GORE-TEX for enhanced protection. The collection included two colorways: a black base with forest green overlays and a black base with stormy grey overlays.
6. JJJJound x A Bathing Ape BAPE STA “Navy”
This pair features JJJJound’s signature minimalist aesthetic applied to BAPE’s chunky Uptown-inspired silhouette. The calf leather sneakers arrived in BAPE camo boxes with gold-foil branding, offering a slightly more vibrant look than the previous white and silver version. Black accents were added to maintain the collection’s overall minimalist appeal.
