Vans has forged a new partnership with Typhoon Hanten and Sonoda Stand, two renowned culinary establishments, to create a limited-edition collection inspired by the world of gastronomy.

About the Typhoon Hanten x Vans Slip-On and Taishu Shokudo Stand Sonoda x Vans Era

The collection features two silhouettes, both inspired by the utilitarian “chef shoes” traditionally worn in the kitchen. The Slip-On model, offered by Typhoon Hanten, boasts a water-repellent upper and a reverse waffle sole designed for optimal traction and comfort. The Era, presented by Sonoda Shokudo Stand, maintains the same functional elements while offering a slightly different silhouette.

To complement the footwear, the collaboration also includes a range of apparel inspired by souvenir T-shirts. The “Typhoon Restaurant” version showcases a nostalgic design reminiscent of traditional souvenirs, while the “Taishu Stand Sonoda” T-shirt features a playful motif inspired by bottled juice and glassware.

Release Details

To commemorate the launch, a special event will be held at the Taishu Shokudo Stand Sonoda Oyafuko-dori Store on 20 September. Attendees sporting items from the collection or make purchases during the event will be rewarded with a complimentary drink and a unique novelty item.
