Despite being a member of the Straw Hat Pirates who are the collective protagonists of One Piece, Brook is often regarded as nothing more than a gimmicky character. This is understandable, given the fact that he wasn’t one of the original five members as well as his status as a character often placed in scenes for comic relief. That being said, his card from the Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB-01] has begun to gain traction in ONE PIECE Card Game tournaments.

About Brook (Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB-01] EB01-046)

This card is now a key part of a number of Black decks including the Black Luffy and the Black Lucci decks. In both of these decks, Brook is used to immediately KO an opposing Character with a cost of 0. It’s a viable early-game play which tilts the balance of the board in the player’s favor at very little risk. Often, the player is advised to use a searcher card to bring out the Brook card relatively early, then pair it with a card such as Kuzan from Paramount War [OP-02] or Sabo from Kingdoms of Intrigue [OP-04] for maximum impact.

Since Brook is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, this card is likely to have some appeal by association even though the character shown isn’t necessarily the most popular of the group of nine. Additionally, this card has a rarity of Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) and has a Parallel Art illustration, adding value to it.
