[Pokémon TCG] Crispin (Stellar Miracle [SV7] 123/102) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Could this be one of the cards that elevates the Dragapult ex deck to elite status in the current metagame?
The Fire-type specialist of the BB League’s Elite Four, Crispin was one of two members featured on a Supporter card in Stellar Miracle [SV7]. It has turned out to not only be a card which many collectors seek; its high level of gameplay viability has seen it show up as part of many Pokémon TCG tournament decks.
About Crispin (Stellar Miracle [SV7] 123/102)
The Full Art illustration of this card depicts Crispin in the Savanna Plaza where the player battles him in The Indigo Disk, the second DLC of the ninth-generation is also shown in-character. In addition to his status as an Elite Four member, Crispin is an aspiring chef who someday plans to take over the restaurant that his parents run—shown by the pan he’s holding as well as the kitchen clothing that he wears.
Alongside Lacey, Crispin is one of two BB League Elite Four members shown on a Stellar Miracle [SV7] Full Art supporter card. They were joined by Drayton in Paradise Dragona [SV7a]. As such, completionists are likely to be interested in this card; this is likely to be even more the case once an Amarys card is released in a future set—that would mean that all four BB League Elite Four members would then be depicted in the TCG.
Gameplay-wise, this card has become a key component of the Dragapult ex deck. Prior to the release of Stellar Miracle, the biggest challenge that Dragapult ex deck players faced was getting a Psychic Energy and a Fire Energy card onto the deck’s titular card from Mask of Change [SV6] to power up its devastating Phantom Dive attack. By playing Crispin, the player makes Energy-ramping a great deal easier, immediately getting the required Energy cards and even attaching one to Dragapult ex on the spot.
