In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the prequel to fourth-generation main series Pokémon video games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the climax of the storyline as well as that of the post-game took place at the Temple of Sinnoh. Located at the summit of Mt. Coronet, the Temple of Sinnoh is the location where many the major plot points of Pokémon Legends: Arceus are tied together; in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, its ruins would go on to be renamed as the Spear Pillar. Since Pokémon TCG sets Time Gazer [S10D] and Space Juggler [S10P] were based on Pokémon Legends: Arceus, this card was always an obvious pick to be included.

About Temple of Sinnoh (Space Juggler [S10P] 087/067)

The Temple of Sinnoh card from Space Juggler [S10P] is a major part of the Pokémon TCG metagame today. While there are many decks which make use of this Stadium card, this card is most notable for its use in the Regidrago VSTAR deck. When in play, Temple of Sinnoh causes every Special Energy card attached to any Pokémon to function as just one Normal-type Energy card without any other additional effects. Since the Lugia VSTAR deck makes heavy use of Special Energy cards, Temple of Sinnoh therefore serves as a hard counter to the Lugia VSTAR deck.

That said, this card isn’t just notable for its gameplay viability. Coming in a rarity of Ultra Rare (UR), this card comes with a gold border; the image of the temple is also outlined in gold. This adds a fitting air of prestige to a location at which so many of the greatest secrets of the Hisui region are unveiled and where Legendary Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus appear across Diamond, Pearl, Legends: Arceus, and Diamond and Pearl remakes Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Interestingly, unlike other cards with a rarity of UR, this card doesn’t have a gold-colored background.
