In conjunction with the Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2024 on 7-8 September 2024, selected stores around the world held Celebration Events. Part of those Celebration Events were in-store Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in which one of two prize cards could be won. One of those two cards was a new version of Doomcaliber Knight.

About Doomcaliber Knight (Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2024 Celebration Event Prize Cards 2024-ENP01)

Although this isn’t the first Doomcaliber Knight card to be released, it’s the first one to be associated with Worlds in any capacity. It’s also a tournament prize card; thus, both factors add to the card’s prestige and value. In addition, this new version of the card comes in Quarter Century Secret Rare, thus continuing a long tradition of mega-rare versions of this card.

This card is the ninth English version of Doomcaliber Knight version to ever be released. Of the previous eight, two are Ultra Rares, two are Gold Rares, one can come in Starfoil Rare, and one can come in Mosaic Rare. Interestingly, the Japanese versions of Doomcaliber Knight don’t have anywhere near this same illustrious history. As a result, it’s somewhat fitting that this card was launched in English as its status in English is far more renowned than its status in Japanese.

This card was only released in English.

The price of a Doomcaliber Knight (Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2024 Celebration Event Prize Cards 2024-ENP01) card won’t be known until the first copies make it to the open market.
