[Pokémon TCG] Drayton (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 090/064) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Three Elite Four members down—now we're just waiting for an Amarys card.
In a ninth-generation Pokémon TCG set centered around the Dragon type, it was always inevitable that one of the generation’s two Dragon-type specialists—Drayton of the BB League Elite Four—would be featured on one of the more notable cards of Paradise Dragona [SV7a]. Introduced in The Indigo Disk, the Gen 9 video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s second DLC, Drayton is the fifth Dragon-type specialist in the video games to be an Elite Four member—more than what any other type has.
About Drayton (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 090/064)
The Full Art illustration of this Special Art Rare (SAR) card depicts the Elite Four member examining an object in a store of some sort. While not necessarily readily noticeable at first glance, a closer look will show that the gold-colored pattern on Drayton’s purple cape can clearly be seen. The pattern is that of the Dragon-type symbol in several of the Pokémon video games, referencing his own type specialization as well as the theme of the set.
Since Drayton is an Elite Four member, this card is likely to appeal to completionists. He is the third Elite Four member of the BB League to appear on a card of SAR rarity after Crispin and Lacey. For this same reason, once such a card depicting Amarys, the Steel-type specialist who’s the only member of the quartet yet to be featured, is launched in a future set, demand for this card could increase even more.
