The Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championship 2024 will be held in Seattle on 7-8 September 2024. To commemorate the occasion, selected stores all over the world will be holding World Championship 2024 Celebration Events.

About World Championship 2024 Celebration Events

The Celebration Events will generally take place on the same days as Worlds itself: 7-8 September. The exceptions will be Celebration Events held in China, which run from 7-17 September, as well as Asia-Pacific outside of Japan, South Korea, and China; there, the events will run from 7-15 September.

At each event, an in-store tournament will be held. Each tournament organizer may opt to use either the unique card restriction list in use at the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championships or the current restriction list in force in the region where the store is located. Almost all tournaments will make use the Swiss bracket format which is in use at the vast majority of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments around the world; however, a select few stores in Asia-Pacific have confirmed that their tournaments will be single-elimination.

Tournament winners, as well as runners-up and semifinalists in larger tournaments, will receive two unique prize cards released specifically for the occasion. These cards are Doomcaliber Knight and Swords of Revealing Light. Both cards will be in English regardless of where in the world the tournament takes place; it’s unlikely that either will ever be released in Japanese.

In addition to in-store tournaments, selected stores will show live broadcasts of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championships. Not only that—in Konami’s own twist on the classic stadium fan camera, certain participating stores will be featured on the livestream, allowing certain lucky fans to be seen by Yu-Gi-Oh TCG enthusiasts all over the world.
