Two-time US Open champion, Naomi Osaka, marked her long-awaited return to the tournament on 27 August by a resounding victory over Jeļena Ostapenko, and by a stunning display of sporty, sartorial elegance. The tennis star, known for her impeccable style, once again demonstrated her ability to captivate audiences both on and off the court.

Osaka’s custom bright green ensemble, designed by Yoon Ahn of AMBUSH, was a highlight of the match. The Nike outfit, featuring a tennis dress with a layered ruffle skirt and a white bow, exuded a playful and feminine charm.

To complement the ensemble, Osaka opted for Nike’s Challenger sneakers in white and green, adorned with ribbon bows that echoed the girlcore vibe of the dress. The tennis icon’s grand entrance was equally striking, with a lightweight warm-up jacket topped with a massive highlighter-colored bow.

Her collaboration with Yoon has resulted in a series of innovative and visually captivating tennis outfits, proving that athletic attire can be both functional and fashionable.

The bespoke outfit is an offshoot of the “Nike Women by Yoon” collection, featuring the designer’s reinterpretation of vintage varsity athletics, a nod to her and Osaka’s shared Japanese heritage and the country’s rich subcultures. The collection will be released on 27 August across Nike’s brick-and-click stores.
