On 8 August 2024, the Pokémon Card Summer Is Here! Promo Card Get Campaign! Promo Card Pack was made available on the official Pokémon Center website before being distributed at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Card Gyms across Japan starting two days later. This pack contained six promotional reprints of cards from prior Pokémon TCG sets. Of these, the standout pull was the Pikachu card which is a rehashed version of the card from Clay Burst [SV2D].

About Pikachu (SV-P Promotional Cards 218/SV-P)

The promotional reprint of this Pikachu card depicts the mascot of the Pokémon franchise frolicking in a flowery meadow alongside Sprigatito and Pawmi, two other Pokémon featured in the Pokémon Card Summer Is Here! Promo Card Get Campaign! Promo Card Pack. As the only card with a Full Art illustration in the pack, it’s unquestionably the biggest draw for collectors.

Additionally, in the top-left corner of the card, a Maushold can be seen hanging from a vine extending from a tree. Could this possibly be a reference to an upcoming promotional Maushold card? While there’s been no word on this at all thus far, it wouldn’t be the first time that Creatures Inc. has teased future information via a Pokémon TCG card.

Finally, being part of a 6-card promotional pack, completionists are likely to be interested in this card in order to complete the full set of six.

The English version of this card is card 088 from the SVP Black Star promos.
