Eighth-generation set Eevee Heroes [S6a], aptly named for its emphasis on Eevee and its eight evolutions, was perhaps the single most coveted Pokémon TCG set of that generation. This was both due to the immense popularity of the Eeveelutions as well as the abundance of impressive pulls—such as this Vaporeon V card.

This Super Rare (SR) card’s eye-catching Full Art illustration greatly elevates its value. The Water-type Eeveelution is shown basking near the surface of a stream, two of its light blue paws raised. For further visual impact, the holofoil provides the impression that light is streaming down through the surface of the water.

As has been mentioned, any card featuring an Eeveelution is almost certain to be the object of serious demand. In addition, Vaporeon’s memetic status among “certain” corners of the Pokémon fandom (unfortunately) is a factor in the significant value that this card has.

The card’s status as one of the leading pulls from Eevee Heroes [S6a] can’t be overlooked either. Such was the impact that the set had upon its initial release that when it was recently rumored to be set for a reprint, interest in the three other Gen 8 sets to be reprinted skyrocketed; when Eevee Heroes [S6a] was confirmed to not be reprinted, interest in those sets plummeted accordingly.
