Pokémon TCG Zinnia's Resolve

A character introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the sixth-generation remakes of Gen 3 main-series video games Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Zinnia was revealed to have close links to a significant portion of the Hoenn region’s lore. Her introduction and subsequent character development revealed new facets of the lore which hadn’t previously been mentioned, adding greater depth to the in-universe canonical material.

Any card with a Full Art illustration of a female character—including this one—is likely to have an inherently increased level of demand due to demographics. Zinnia can also be seen holding a Poké Ball which likely contains the Salamence which is her signature Pokémon.

This Super Rare (SR) card’s illustration also includes an indirect allusion to the in-universe lore. A gust of wind is blowing Zinnia’s white cloak upwards; this is likely a reference to Mega Rayquaza’s Ability of Delta Stream which stirs up strong winds when it enters the battlefield. In the video games, Zinnia is linked to Rayquaza because she summons Rayquaza at the top of the Sky Pillar to destroy Grand Meteor Delta, a meteoroid that threatens the Hoenn region.

In English, this card is card 203/203 in the Evolving Skies set.

A copy of a Zinnia’s Resolve (Blue Sky Stream [S7R] 079/067) card goes for 10,299 JPY (~US$66).
