Official Images: Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM SP “Driveway Grey”
Arriving 8 August 2024.
[Update 26 Jul] Coming off the debut of his Nike Air Jordan 4 RM “Fence Green”, the BMX legend Nigel Sylvester is set to drop another colorway, “Driveway Grey”, also known as “Anthracite”. First teased earlier this month, Nike has now unveiled official images of the sneaker.
The predominantly Anthracite upper is accented with University Red and White details, a nod to both Sylvester’s grandmother’s driveway and the iconic “Bred” Nike Air Jordan 4.
The Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM SP “Driveway Grey” will be available via Nike on 8 August for US$150. Find it on the SNKRDUNK App post-release.
[Update 2 Jul 2024] Lil Yachty, rapper and well-known sneakerhead, has got his hands on a pair of the Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM SP “Anthracite” just a few days after it was announced. This information comes via @hypebeastkicks.
This glimpse offers a closer look at the design, confirming the previously reported color scheme. The upper features a suede construction reminiscent of the “Grandma’s Driveway” design, with a pop of “University Red” on the mini Swoosh at the forefoot. White accents appear on the heel section of the midsole and the “BIKE AIR” branding on the heel.
Sylvester and Nike are still mum about an official release date. Stay tuned to SNKRDUNK Magazine for updates.
A blacked-out Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM SP is being added to the “Bike Air” collection. The pair, in an “Anthracite” colorway, joins its counterparts in “Grandma’s Driveway”, arriving 20 July 2024, and “Firewood Orange”, slated to arrive in 2025.
Details about the official color scheme hint at a fresh interpretation of Jordan’s classic black, red, and white combo. The shoe is rumored to feature a ballistic mesh base with a mix of rubber and suede overlays, all resting on a traditional Air Jordan 4 midsole.
Sylvester, a BMX legend known for his “Go!” series and his love for riding in rare sneakers, has a long history with Jordan Brand. Their first official collaboration came in 2018 with a pre-scuffed Air Jordan 1. Then, in 2021, Sylvester became an official Jordan athlete and even teased a friends-and-family-only Air Ship, which debuted his now-famous “Bike Air” tagline (a playful twist on “Nike Air”).
