[Update 5 Dec 2024] Just one day before the release of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a], the final set of card images has now been uploaded on PokéBeach. Browse the gallery for them.

It’s also now known that each Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] booster box will contain 10 booster packs of 10 cards each and retail for a price of 5,500 JPY (~US$37). Each booster box will contain one Special Art Rare (SAR) card and three reverse holofoil cards.

Booster packs known as “God Packs” which contain many rare and valuable cards will also be available in addition to ordinary booster packs. There will be two types of God Pack. The first of these contains seven reverse holofoil cards and three SAR cards; all three SAR cards will be Eeveelution cards. The second type includes nine SAR cards—one each of Eevee and all eight Eeveelutions—and one ordinary card.

[Update 3 Dec 2024] The images of Super Rare (SR) and Special Art Rare (SAR) cards have recently been posted on PokéBeach. Scroll through the gallery for them.

Additionally, it’s now known that cards from Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] will each have two reverse holofoil versions: one featuring a Poké Ball design, the second, a Master Ball design. Both of these reverse holofoil versions will be textured.

Finally, it’s been confirmed that each Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] booster box will contain two Poké Ball reverse holofoil cards and one Master Ball reverse holofoil card.

[Update 28 Nov 2024] The images of five new Super Rare (SR) cards were recently displayed on the official Pokémon TCG YouTube channel. Find them in the gallery and stay tuned as more information comes in.

[Update 19 Nov 2024] Images of cards spanning the rarities of Super Rare (SR), Special Art Rare (SAR), and ACE SPEC have all been uploaded to PokéBeach. Check them out in the gallery and stay tuned for more to come.

[Update 6 Nov 2024] Two new card images have been shown on the official Pokémon TCG YouTube channel. Browse the gallery for them and stay with us for more information!

[Update 4 Nov 2024] As seen on PokéBeach, more images of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] cards have now been made public. These cards are of the Double Rare (RR) and ACE SPEC rarities. Check them all out in the gallery and stay tuned for further details.

[Update 29 Oct 2024] A massive amount of information about this set has been revealed on PokéBeach. First and foremost, the name of the set has been confirmed to be “Terastal Festival ex” and its acronym will be [SV8a].

Many card images of Double Rare (RR) and ACE SPEC cards have also been shown, as has that of the set’s booster pack. Head to the gallery for them.

Not counting secret rares, Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] will contain a total of 187 cards. The set will include a large number of alternate-art secret rares including those of cards which have been seen in languages other than Japanese. Many of the 187 non-secret rares as well as the secret rares will thus be reprinted versions of existing cards.

All Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] booster packs will contain 10 cards of which at least one will be a Pokémon-ex card.

Finally, Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] will include reverse holofoil cards characterized by Poké Ball prints in the background as well as a “cracked ice” layer.

[Update 22 Oct 2024] Via PokéBeach, the first image of a Terastal Festival card has been shown; it’s an Eevee ex card. The image of that card was displayed for the very first time in a Japanese commercial. Head to the gallery for it and stay tuned for more information!

The next expansion Pokémon TCG set confirmed for release in Japan has now been finalized. Terastal Festival ex will drop on 6 December 2024.

It’s almost certain that cards from Terastal Festival ex will be some of the most coveted in recent years. This is because Eevee and its eight evolutions will be featured as Terastallized Pokémon-ex. All of them will feature in Terastallized form in the TCG for the very first time.

Since the Eeveelutions have always been major fan favorites, a set centered around them is almost certain to become a major hit. When it was released in 2021, Eevee Heroes [S6a] ended up being probably the single biggest set of the eighth generation. Expect Terastal Festival ex to have that kind of impact.

Several products will also be released alongside Terastal Festival ex on launch day. These include card sleeves, a card collection file, a card box, a deck case, a carrying case, a rubber playmat, and a damage counter case. All of these items will feature images of Eevee and its evolutions.

While no prices have yet been confirmed, expect them to be sizable as demand for this set is likely to be through the roof.
