Pokémon TCG Fezandipiti ex

The Teal Mask, the first DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, introduced the ironically-named “Loyal Three”—a group of three Legendary Pokémon bestowed that moniker because they were believed to have perished defending a village in Kitakami from Ogerpon when in reality, they were actually the retainers of the villainous Pecharunt and had been attacked after stealing three of Ogerpon’s masks. With Night Wanderer [SV6a] being a Pokémon TCG set focusing on this DLC, the appearance of these Legendaries was always inevitable; of the trio, Fezandipiti ex has proven to be the biggest pull.

About Fezandipiti ex (Night Wanderer [SV6a] 089/064)

This Fezandipiti ex card is a Special Art Rare (SAR) card which has an illustration depicting the Retainer Pokémon’s face slightly covered by its wing while its Toxic Chain linking it to Pecharunt is clearly visible. This alludes to both the concealed state of its true nature throughout most of the DLC while also hinting at the fact that Fezandipiti ex is ultimately doing Pecharunt’s bidding.

Fezandipiti ex’s feathers are prominently shown in the illustration—a reference to the lore surrounding it. The reason why Fezandipiti is one of Pecharunt’s retainers is because the Mythical Pokémon used its Binding Mochi and Toxic Chain to transform Fezandipiti from a Pokémon with short, dull feathers with a desire for beauty to one with an eye-catching and impressive look, granting its wish; however, this also chained Fezandipiti to Pecharunt’s will.

Additionally, Fezandipiti is likely the most popular of the “Loyal Three” simply because it’s part Fairy-type. The Fairy type has developed a notable following among a large number of Pokémon fans; it’s arguably the single most popular Pokémon type there is.
