[Update 19 Jun 2024] It’s now been confirmed via a post on the PokeInvesting subreddit as well as information from Fuji Card Shop that Eevee Heroes [S6a] will NOT be reprinted. Therefore, Lost Abyss [S11], Incandescent Arcana [S11a], and Paradigm Trigger [S12] will be the only sets to be reprinted.

As confirmed by Twitter user @Laurier_news, three sets from the eighth generation of the Pokémon TCG are set to receive reprints for the very first time. These sets are Lost Abyss [S11], Incandescent Arcana [S11a], and Paradigm Trigger [S12]; the reprints are expected to arrive at some point in either June or July 2024.

The original versions of these sets were released from July to October 2022; however, in the almost two years since then, none have yet received a reprint. News of this development has unsurprisingly caused a decline in card prices from those sets: a welcome development for many collectors because many of Gen 8’s most coveted cards come from those sets.

Additionally, those who lean towards the playing rather than the collection aspect of the Pokémon TCG are in luck too. Those sets include multiple current metagame mainstays as the sets released later in Gen 8 haven’t been rotated out yet.

However, if rumors are true, another potential reprint could dwarf them all in terms of hype. There’s talk of a reprint of what’s generally regarded as one of the greatest Pokémon TCG sets of all time: Eevee Heroes [S6a]—and yes, that means a potential reprint of the iconic Umbreon VMAX card better known to those in the Pokémon TCG community as “Moonbreon”.
