[ONE PIECE Card Game] Jack (Two Legends [OP-08] OP08-084) [Price/Release Date/Where To Buy]
Maybe not a card that most would've expected to have been of notable value—in this case its rarity seems to be the main thing driving it up.
[Update 20 Sep 2024] The ban of the Enies Lobby card from Pillars of Strength [OP-03] has caused many Black Lucci deck players to pivot to this card. Once the player has amassed at least 7 DON!! cards—typically in the mid- to late-game—this card is often brought in for an easy KO on one of the opposing low-cost Characters.
Jack, the former ruler of Kuri who’s one of Beasts Pirates leader Kaidou’s three main officers, was the primary antagonist of the One Piece manga’s Zou Arc. Considering the powers of his Devil Fruit, this was an incredibly apt story arc for that—though this isn’t relevant to his Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) card from ONE PIECE Card Game set Two Legends [OP-08].
The card’s Parallel Art illustration shows Jack unleashing an earth-splitting blow with one of his two Shotel blades. While not outright specified, it’s likely that the scene depicted was taken from one of his fights against either Inuarashi or Nekomamushi, the two strongest fighters of the Mokomo Dukedom.
As was previously mentioned, this card doesn’t depict Jack’s Devil Fruit form. By using the Elephant-Elephant Fruit, Ancient Zoan Model: Mammoth, his Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit, Jack is able to transform into either a mammoth or mammoth hybrid. Though this form isn’t depicted, certain elements of that motif are nevertheless clearly visible.
This card’s English release date hasn’t yet been confirmed.
One copy of a Jack (Two Legends [OP-08] OP08-084) card of SR-P rarity has a price tag of 2,300 JPY (~US$15).
