Having started as a major antagonist during the Whole Cake Island Arc but since having shifted to becoming one of the Straw Hat Pirates’ allies, Charlotte Pudding has one of the most compelling character arcs in the One Piece manga. Having recently made a minor appearance in the ongoing Egghead Arc, there’s also a possibility that Pudding might play a key role in the arc’s next chapters. As such, it wasn’t all too surprising that her card ended up among the most valuable of those in the newly-released ONE PIECE Card Game set Two Legends [OP-08].

On the surface, the illustration on the card appears to be no more than an ordinary front-facing image of Pudding. However, One Piece fans who are well-versed in the series’ canon will know that Pudding is a member of the Three-Eye Tribe. True to the tribe’s name, Pudding’s fringe covers her third eye—a feature which has actually been shown on some of her other cards from previous sets.

Once again, the usual “female character boost” is in play; this fact is played up by the lower half of the illustration which zooms in on Pudding’s chest. Pudding’s fingers are also placed in a position stereotypical of many female manga and anime characters of a certain archetype—this likely adds to the card’s demographic appeal.

This card’s English release date hasn’t yet been confirmed.

The price of a Charlotte Pudding (Two Legends [OP-08] OP08-058) card of LP rarity is 7,600 JPY (~US$48).
