Riding high on the success of their comfortable and stylish mesh runners, particularly the popular 1906R, New Balance introduces a fresh take with the 1906L Loafer. After debuting in a collaboration with Junya Watanabe and a range of colors that include “Rich Oak”, “Grey/Metallic Silver”, and “Green”, a “Raincloud” rendition is ’round the corner.

The 1906L Loafer marries the design language of the 1906R with the structure of a loafer. The breathable mesh base is overlaid with suede and TPU for comfort and a premium aesthetic. The colorway features an understated blend of light and dark grey tones on the suede mudguard, toe, and midfoot for a muted look.

Modern tech comes in the form of the TPU heel counter, which provides additional support. The tongue features more suede details, while branding is kept subtle with the 1906L logo on the lateral heel and on the insole. Comfort is a mainstay underfoot, with a white and grey foam midsole paired with a black rubber outsole for durability and traction.

The New Balance 1906L Loafer “Raincloud” is expected to be released in Fall 2024 through New Balance and select retailers. It will be available in unisex sizing. Stay tuned to SNKRDUNK Magazine for more details in the weeks to come.
