[Update 8 May 2024] Campaign shots of the Issey Miyake x New Balance MT10O pack have arrived! The pairs are also confirmed to see a release on 15 May via Issey Miyake and New Balance, with a retail price tag of 33,000 JPY (~US$213) per pair. Issey Miyake may have passed on but his signatures are immortalized through his eponymous label. The amalgam of Eastern and Western elements, and the convergence of contemporary and technology-driven designs.

Echoing the above-mentioned, it’s no surprise their first foray into the footwear space comes assisted by New Balance, a brand that’s always been at the vanguard of technological innovation.

The currently unnamed Issey Miyake x New Balance shoe was unveiled at their Spring/Summer 2024 showcase. A minimalist trail runner based on the New Balance Minimus 10v1.

The pair features a sleek mesh and synthetic upper, constructed with premium materials and a thin Vibram sole underfoot. Seen in both black and white, the model is scheduled to arrive at select retailers and Issey Miyake flagships early next year.

Not much else has been disclosed but stay tuned for more details and images in the coming weeks.
