[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Silhouhatte Rabbit (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP052) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]

The people at Konami were likely thinking "yes, but what if the rabbit WAS the magician and WORE the top hat?"

[Update 7 Apr 2025] Recent shifts in the meta have seen Silhouhatte Rabbit gain more prominence in tournament decks. This is because it can set a Continuous Trap from the deck that can Summon itself as a monster; following this, if a card in the Spell & Trap Zone is Special Summoned to the Monster Zone, the player can target and destroy one Spell or Trap on your opponent’s field. This makes it a viable counterplay option against various decks—most notably the Tenpai Dragon deck.

It’s very easy to see how Konami came up with the concept of the Silhouhatte Rabbit card—by subverting the usual trope of a magician pulling a rabbit out of a top hat. However, that isn’t one of the main reasons why this card has begun to garner interest among the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG fanbase.

First off, this card comes in Quarter Century Secret Rare—the rarity specifically created in commemoration of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary. In addition to that, this card is the first-ever Illusion Link monster in the history of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG—apt for a card based on the stereotypical magician’s image.

This card also contains a reference to another card in the Infinite Forbidden set. The Silhouhatte card’s artwork includes an image of Silhouhatte Rabbit as well; however, as that card is far more common than this one, it doesn’t have anywhere near the same level of desirability.

This card is yet to be released in English.

The price tag of a Silhouhatte Rabbit (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP052) card is 2,800 JPY (~US$18).
