[Update 6 Sep 2024] The curtains have been pulled back to reveal the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0”, courtesy of @knowing_kicks. More details and official images should arrive closer to its 13 February 2025 release, so stay tuned!
The Nike Kobe line is definitely alive and well. Having been rejuvenated in 2022, there’s been a steady stream of Protro colorways since, with notable ones such as the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16”, Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Triple White”, and the recently released “Mambacita”.
Spring 2025 brings the Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0”, building on the success of the original “All Star” Kobe 6, which debuted in 2011 and saw a West Coast-inspired return in 2021.
Official images haven’t been disclosed but the mockup suggests a palette of Light Khaki, Black, Desert Khaki, Sail, Alabaster, and Gum Light Brown. Performance specs include a comfortable Cushlon midsole with a visible forefoot Air Zoom unit.
The upper boasts durable polyurethane scales and breathable micro-mesh construction. Kobe’s signature graces the molded heel counter, with his sheath logo prominently displayed on the tongue.
A firm release date hasn’t been disclosed but the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0” is expected to hit shelves around the time of the All-Star Weekend in February 2025, with an RRP of US$190. Stay tuned for more details and images in the coming months!
