[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Original Sin in the Making: Risette of the White Woods (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP014)
One of two White Woods cards adding backstory to an existing card.
The introduction of the White Woods card archetype to the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG took place in the Infinite Forbidden Core Booster, with 10 such cards in total being added. Of these, the two clear standouts from a collector’s perspective were Asteria of the White Woods and this Risette of the White Woods card.
This card is available in Quarter Century Secret Rare—the unique rarity that Konami created in honor of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary. This card also alludes to the in-universe lore because Risette of the White Woods is actually Diabellze the Original Sinkeeper when she was younger—the original version of the card featuring that character was first seen in the Legacy of Destruction Core Booster.
The usual “female character boost” is in effect, jacking up the overall value of the card due to fan demographics. Finally, the fact that this card belongs to a new archetype comes into play. That adds a level of novelty to the card and draws additional attention.
This card’s English version hasn’t yet been released.
The price of a Risette of the White Woods (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP014) card is 10,800 JPY (~US$69).
