[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Asteria of the White Woods Fleshes Out Diabellstar’s Character Arc (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP013)
This card is the "prequel" to the Diabellstar the Black Witch card from Age of Overlord.
The Infinite Forbidden Core Booster introduced three card archetypes to the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG—Multchummy, Fiendsmith, and White Woods. Even less than a month after the set’s release, it’s become clear that White Woods cards are far and away the most desired and thus valuable. Of all the White Woods cards in Infinite Forbidden, the standout pull is Asteria of the White Woods.
Since the White Woods archetype is a new one, the card comes with an inherent novelty factor that has almost certainly driven up general interest. This card also features a heavy dose of Yu-Gi-Oh lore because Asteria of the White Woods is the younger version of Diabellstar the Black Witch—a character introduced in a card from the Age of Overlord Core Booster.
As is so often the case, this is a card that depicts a female character and thus experiences a value boost from it. Finally, this card can come in a Quarter Century Secret Rare version, providing it with a significant value spike.
This card hasn’t yet been released in English.
The latest figures place the price of an Asteria of the White Woods (Infinite Forbidden INFO-JP013) card at 15,000 JPY (~US$96).
