[ONE PIECE Card Game] This Nami Card First From Standard Battle Tournaments Is Now a Major Draw (Straw Hat Pirates [ST-01] ST01-007)

"Prestige factor" as a tournament prize card? Parallel Art card? Features the series' primary female character? In other words: this card checks all the boxes.

ONE PIECE Card Game Nami

One of the earliest ONE PIECE Card Game tournament prize cards, this Nami card was originally awarded to winners of Standard Battle tournaments in December 2022. A Parallel Art version of the card first released as part of the Straw Hat Pirates [ST-01] Starter Deck, this card’s status has given it significant cachet among the ONE PIECE Card Game community as time has passed.

Since this card’s Parallel Art version was originally intended to be a tournament prize card, its very status inherently affords it a level of prestige. On top of that, this is one of the earliest such cards—this fact further burnishes the card’s reputation, in part because it was one of the first and in part because future reprints are unlikely.

Of course, the usual “female character value boost” has to be taken into account as well. The illustration goes a step further by playing up Nami’s sex appeal, having her scantily clad and bent over with her chest forward-facing. Additionally, there’s a nod to her money-hungry personality thrown in as well; she’s shown clutching a fairly full bag of cash in her right hand.

This version of this card has never been released in English.

A copy of a Parallel Art version of a Nami (Straw Hat Pirates [ST-01] ST01-007) card has a sale price of 10,000 JPY (~US$65).
