When the Terastallization mechanic from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games was introduced to the Pokémon TCG, it was always going to be the case that cards depicting Terastallized Pokémon would rank among the biggest pulls due to the novelty factor. That’s just one of the reasons why the Dragapult ex card from Mask of Change [SV6] was one of the most hyped cards of the set following its reveal.

As mentioned, the pseudo-Legendary of Pokémon’s eighth generation shows up on this Super Rare (SR) card in its Terastallized form. The entire Full Art illustration by 5ban Graphics emphasizes this element with a crystalline background that features gold sparkles. Dragapult ex is depicted with a front-facing menacing look that serves to highlight its sheer power as a pseudo-Legendary.

Dragapult ex is shown as having Terastallized into a pure Dragon-type from its usual Ghost/Dragon. Since Dragon has always been among the most popular Pokémon types, this serves to boost the card’s popularity. Additionally, this may also be a reference to the video games because Dragon is among the most common Terastallization type choices for Dragapult.

This card will be released in English as part of Twilight Masquerade [TWM].

The price of a Dragapult ex (Mask of Change [SV6] 120/101) card is 4,300 JPY (~US$27).
