Pokémon TCG Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex

The Legendary Pokémon around which the storyline of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games’ DLC The Teal Mask is built, Ogerpon is best known for its ability to switch between four different forms of four different types via its masks. Thus, when the Teal Mask-themed Mask of Change [SV6] Pokémon TCG set—which has a name that references this trait—was released, the four forms of Ogerpon were always expected to rank among the most desired cards.

This card features Ogerpon’s Wellspring Mask form in which the Mask Pokémon is no longer a pure Grass-type but instead becomes a Grass/Water-type—except in the Terastallized form shown on this card. When Terastallized and equipped with its Wellspring Mask, Ogerpon becomes a pure Water-type Pokémon.

This Special Art Rare (SAR) card’s Full Art illustration zooms in on Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex mask in order to emphasize that this is the form it’s taking. Additionally, this angle better captures the image of the crystalline Terastallization physical features that Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex has taken on.

In the bottom corner of the image of the Wellspring Mask itself, a pattern similar to sea waves is incorporated—complete with the ocean spray arising. These aesthetic features emphasize the point that the Wellspring Mask is related to the Water type and add character to the card’s imagery.

There will be a Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex card released in English as part of Twilight Masquerade [TWM]; however, it won’t be the English translation of this card’s SAR version.

The sale price of a Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex (Mask of Change [SV6] 127/101) card of SAR rarity is 2,000 JPY (~US$13).
