While the Nike Air Max Solo released last year hasn’t garnered massive attention, it’s once more stepping into the spotlight. Previously positioned as a value-oriented option alongside the Air Max SC and Air Max Excee, the “NCAA Pack” is an attempt to elevate the Solo’s profile. Akin to team-edition Jordans, this pack is a time-honored practice of the Swoosh acknowledging their college affiliates.

This collection boasts eleven unique colorways, each dedicated to a Nike-sponsored institution: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas.

Each shoe features vibrant team colors on the toe, collar, and base, with a layered mesh upper for breathability. Collegiate lettering and school logos adorn the tongue and insoles, respectively.

The Air Max Solo itself is a hybrid, featuring elements from iconic Air Max models. The textured Air Max 180 unit provides cushioning underfoot, while the cupped heel borrows inspiration from the Air Max 90. The familiar mesh base and suede panels complete the look.

An official release date hasn’t been disclosed, but expect the Air Max Solo “NCAA Pack” to hit Nike’s brick-and-click stores later this year. Each pair will be available for a budget-friendly price of US$100.
